Soccer Schedules Under Construction
Kindergarten and 4th-8th Soccer Schedules were posted last night, but due to several drops, we are having to re-work many of the schedules. As a result we have temporarily taken the schedules down from public view, and will be re-posted once the revisions have been made. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please check your schedules again before Saturday, as your game for this Saturday might be affected by the changes.

Is it really necessary to wait to the last minute to publish the schedules?
Families plan their schedules ahead of time and it seems very inconsiderate for CYO to regularly publish season game schedules so close to the start of the season.
Surely this could be done farther ahead of time.
please note that the site still says that the schedules are unavailable and may change--but then the schedules are available. This is confusing
Believe me, we understand your frustration. We share it on a number of levels.
We are limited by a number of factors including the team registration deadline for the parishes/schools who participate in CYO Athletics. Given the scheduling parameters and logistics we must deal with in putting the schedule together, it is a very labor intensive process and unfortunately in the end it is like building a house of cards.
We have asked in the recent past to move registration deadlines to an earlier date to accomodate this issue but because many parishes/schools feel like they need the extra time to put their teams together, they have resisted this.
Exacerbating the issue is when we receive last minute drops or other related issues. It means the house of cards we have created often needs a complete rebuild.
This happened after we posted the schedules on Wednesday night and we were still having people communicate issues that we had to deal with as late as today, the day before the 1st games were to take place.
This, in spite of the disincentive of full registration fees due to CYO Athletics after the drop deadline.
This, of course causes issues for both referees and families making plans for the weekend.
Unfortunately, it is what we are left with when we don't get accurate and complete information prior to building the schedule and try to accommodate the requests and logistical parameters we receive.
We are motivated to work with the community we serve to determine a better course of action so that we can provide an accurate and timely schedule so that people can make plans with their weekends.
I am sorry for the inconvenience to you and your family. Please know that we are continually striving to improve the program and how it works or doesn't work for those involved.
One of the ways in which late drops would not affect as much of the schedule would be if we went to centralized or regional game sites vs. home or away fields/gyms. We have resisted this because of the push back around travel to games. Would you support this move?
Thanks for your sharing your concern. We are working to address the issue.
